I was thrilled to have been awarded the Solihull Children's Book Award last year for my book Storm Runners. The final shortlist was chosen by pupils from schools in the area and then children voted for their favourite book. It was presented in the Solihull Library Theatre in front of a very noisy audience of almost 200 children who had a great afternoon off school with cake and drinks and lots of book signings.

 


My latest book, Dangerous Diamonds has been nominated both for the Stockport Children's Book Award 2010 and the West Sussex Book Award 2011.

When Dad suddenly goes missing, twins Harry and Charlie scour Edinburgh to find him. But why are others determined to stop them? And how is a strange wooden box linked to his disappearance?
